Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Haspari LLC ("PharosEyes," "we," "us") operates the PharosEyes stolen-item monitoring service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
2. Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and password (stored only as a secure hash); optionally a phone number if you provide one.
- Item ("watch") information you submit — the description, category, certificate/serial number, keywords, distinctive features, approximate value, date of theft, regions/languages, and any reference photos you upload.
- Match data — listings our system flags as possible matches, and your feedback on them ("it's mine" / "not it").
- Payment information — handled by our payment processor (see below). We do not store your full card details on our servers.
- Technical/usage data — basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.
3. Public information — and what to submit
Information you include in a watch may be used to search publicly available listings, search engines, and marketplace platforms. Please submit only what is needed to identify your property, and avoid including sensitive personal information that isn't necessary.
PharosEyes is designed to monitor property, not people. Please do not submit names, contact details, home addresses, or social-media profiles of suspected individuals. Describe the stolen item, not any person you suspect.
4. How we use your information
- To run searches for your item across public sources and to detect possible matches.
- To send you alerts and account-related email.
- To process payments and manage your subscription or case.
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.
5. Automated matching technologies
We use automated systems, including image-matching and machine-learning technologies, to compare the information and reference photos you submit against publicly available listings and to identify potential matches. A potential match is surfaced to you for review — it is never used to take action against anyone automatically.
6. Service providers we share data with
To deliver the service, limited data is processed by third parties acting on our behalf. These currently include, or may include:
- Search providers (e.g., Serper/Google search and eBay) — we send them the search terms derived from your watch (such as keywords or a certificate/serial number) to look for listings.
- Payment processor (e.g., Stripe) — to process payments securely.
- Email provider (e.g., Brevo) — to deliver alerts and account email.
- Hosting and storage providers — to run the application and store your data, including uploaded reference photos (e.g., a cloud object-storage provider such as Amazon S3 or Cloudflare R2).
These providers are bound to use the data only to provide their service to us.
7. We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
8. Reference photos
Photos you upload are stored to power image matching against public listings. You can delete them by deleting the associated watch or by contacting us, after which we remove them from active storage.
9. International data transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where we and our service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from those in your country of residence.
10. Law enforcement and legal requests
We do not routinely share watch information with law enforcement. We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or subpoena, or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of PharosEyes, our users, or the public.
11. Data retention and account deletion
We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations. You may delete watches and uploaded photos directly in the app, or request deletion of your entire account by emailing support@pharoseyes.com. Upon deletion, we remove or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law (for example, tax or transaction records).
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email support@pharoseyes.com; we honor verified requests as required by applicable law. You can also manage and delete watches and uploaded photos yourself in the app.
13. Security and breach notification
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and hashed passwords. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and any authorities as required by applicable law.
14. Cookies
We use essential cookies and similar technologies necessary for authentication, security, and operation of the service. We do not use them for cross-site advertising.
15. Analytics
We may use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the service and to improve its performance and reliability.
16. Children
The service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
17. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new date and, where appropriate, notified by email.
